Purse

So, a couple of months ago, I was in the market for a new purse as the one I had was beginning to fall apart on one of the straps. With veganism in mind, I searched on Google for "vegan purses". I soon found a plethora of sites selling purses with no animal products as any of the used materials.

What stood out to me were these hemp purses. Although I was a little weary at first at buying something made out of hemp, I rather quickly found my thoughts were pointless. Hemp has multiple benefits; I was sold.

After doing some searching, I found a brand of bags, backpacks, and purses made out of hemp: Sativa. They had a wide selection with reasonable prices. Although the company was based out of the UK, I managed to find a site here in the US that sold most of their products: BuyGreen.

Once I was sure which purse I wanted (I was debating between two), I purchased it. I was very glad with the choice I made as it fit everything I wanted it to (I have a lot of stuff!). Plus, no animals were harmed or killed for it, so even better!

Here are a few pictures of my Sativa purse:

Front compartment, has 2 inside, open pockets

Main compartment, has 2 inside, open pockets as well as a
back zippered pocket

Back compartment, no inside pockets (I usually have my Kindle Fire
inside there)

Here's the purse on Sativa's website, as well as on BuyGreen's website.

Review: Skout Bar (Apple & Cinnamon)

This was the second Skout bar I had received in my first Conscious Box. You can find the review of the first one here.

Skout Bar
Skout Bar, apple and cinnamon

So, the second flavor I received was apple and cinnamon. Comparing the two bars, I definitely preferred this one over the cherry and vanilla. Something about those chewy dried cherries (or whatever it was that was chewy) just threw me off. Although this second bar was also chewy, it was definitely not like the previous one.

Even though I did like this flavor more, I don't think I'll be buying these in the future as I still didn't "love" it. Perhaps I'll get another flavor in a future box that I will love. Only time will tell...

Teese Vegan Cheese Giveaway

So, a couple of weeks ago, I saw this giveaway: http://blog.vegancuts.com/contest/teese-vegan-cheese-review-and-giveaway/ I thought it'd be great to win as I can try out all that new vegan food. Well, exactly one week ago, I woke up to an email in my inbox saying I had won! Out of more than 12,000 entries!!! Yes, that's 12k... 12 thousand. And I won!! :) I was pretty excited to say the least!

Anyways, I gave over my shipping address (only too happily of course!) and I was just told yesterday that it had shipped, with expected delivery today. Well, the FedEx guy/gal never knocked (I was listening intently, lol), but I took a glance into my apartment hallway to see if it had arrived yet as I was about to go to work. And lo and behold, there was a package at my door!!

The box :)
Opened! (Let me tell ya, this box was taped VERY well, lol)
Dandies vegan marshmallows (can't wait to try these!)
Three different bars of chocolate, nicely wrapped in a UPS shipping bag
Four different kinds of Teese cheese: cheddar, creamy cheddar sauce,
nacho cheese sauce, and mozzarella
Two tote bags which I'll be using for groceries I expect :)
Graham crackers, wrapped up in a bunch of paper (I
think only the top cracker is cracked, all the rest
look in good shape)
The "Melting Tray" for S'Mores, can't wait to use!
"Grill Topper"
Everything all together, with a picture of me ;)

So, all in all, can't wait to try the cheese, as well as the S'mores kit. I don't actually have a grill (yay for apartment living, lol), so I'm not entirely sure yet how I'm going to make the s'mores, but I'm sure I'll figure something out!

As soon as I try something, I'll post a review of what I thought, so stay tuned!
